Im April stieg die Zahl der Arbeitslosen in Großbritannien um mehr als eine Million. Im Mai kamen nochmals 500.000 hinzu. Die Bank von England rechnet mit der tiefsten Rezession seit 300 Jahren. Die Wirtschaftsleistung soll 2020 um 14 Prozent einbrechen (AM, SZ 17.6.20).
